PTP’s three on demand compliance training products have been developed to give accountants the necessary information and advice to adhere to the relevant regulations.
Each training product is available as a pre-recorded online course that lasts approximately one hour and comprises a series of chapters. Course notes can be downloaded and used during the course or as reference material. A compliance test at the end of each course enables users to confirm their knowledge of the topic and print off a certificate to demonstrate they have successfully completed the course for CPD purposes.
MLROs, HR managers and compliance partners can also access each course's admin section to review which staff members have taken the course, what marks they have achieved and if any further training will be required.
Licences start from as little as £10+VAT per person. Everyone required to demonstrate the different forms of compliance training must be allocated a separate licence to complete the test for each course.

Money Laundering Training
Ongoing money laundering training is a legal requirement for the accountancy sector in the UK. PTP’s Money Laundering Reporting Training course allows partners and staff to demonstrate they are fully up to speed with the current money laundering regulations and how this applies to their practice and clients.
On the course, Giles Mooney from PTP is joined by money laundering reporting expert David Winch and during the course they go through the following:
- Money laundering legislation
- Proceeds of Crime Act 2002
- Tipping off
- The 2017 Money Laundering Regulations
- Due diligence procedures
- Identification procedures
- Money Laundering reporting officer
- Reporting to the National Crime Agency
- Suspicious Activity Reports
There is also a money laundering test to demonstrate understanding and compliance.

Operating ethically is essential to accountancy firms and is a key compliance aspect for most accountancy professional bodies.
PTP’s Ethics Training course is presented by ethics expert Peter Herbert and PTP’s Giles Mooney and will take course users through:
- The fundamentals of ethics
- Common client problems
- Specific technical areas with greater risks
- Staff and training issues
An end of course multiple choice test enables users to confirm their understanding of ethics.

The General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR) came into force in 2018. However, there is still a requirement for accountancy firms to ensure their staff receive ongoing training and that their data protection systems and procedures are up to date.
PTP’s GDPR Training course has been created to highlight the GDPR and its specific relevance to the tax and accounting sector. Presented by PTP’s Giles Mooney and GDPR expert Jonathan Clark, the course covers:
- GDPR – what does it mean and why does it matter?
- Business principles and rights of the individual
- Accountability and consequences
- Action to take to ensure compliance
As with PTP’s other on demand compliance courses, the GDPR Training course includes an end of course assessment for users to test their knowledge and upon successful completion, to print off a certificate for their CPD records.
